Messy Hair

Messy Hair

I over exposed (in Lightroom) to make a little like a high key image. Then I added a substantial amount of grain to make the image look as though a silver gelatin print was underexposed and overdeveloped (as in a wet darkroom).

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. The contrast and exposure were adjusted (as explained in the previous paragraph) and the image was cropped and rendered to Black & White via a Lightroom’s Black & White sliders.

Check out my other blog. It is mostly film photography and film development and it goes into some technical information.

I’ve been asked if my images are for sale, most are, please ask.

January 15, 2017…Day 1241

Eyes Covered

Eyes Covered

The idea for this image was to make the model very statuesque.

Two lights were used, one was placed on either side of the frame about even with the model. I positioned the model rotated slightly to her right. I did this to illuminate most of the front of the model and a little on her left side..

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. The contrast and exposure were adjusted and the image was cropped and rendered to Black & White via Lightroom’s Black & White sliders.

January 13, 2017…Day 1239

Nude Stretching

Nude Stretching

I wanted to create some drama. I did it with the model’s pose. The lower portion of her body aggressively pushing forward and the upper portion of her body leaning back creates tension.

One light was used, it was placed to the right of the frame and in front of the model.

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. The contrast and exposure were adjusted and the image was cropped and rendered to Black & White via a Lightroom’s Black & White presets.
