January 30, 2014….Day 288

3276 K12M 1041 100 dpi

This image was serendipitous, the model bent over to rub her calves in between poses and I took the picture.

A single light was used, it  was placed to the left of the frame and in front of the model. This was done to get strong highlights and deep shadows.

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. Exposure and brightness were adjusted and some retouching was done. The image was rendered to monochrome via a Lightroom Preset, and the image was cropped slightly.

I’ve been asked if my images are for sale, most are, please ask.

Red Shoes and Red Lipskick

Red Shoes and Red Lipstick

This model was able to give me “attitude” when I needed her to.

This was a two light setup, the first light was placed to the right of the frame and between the camera and the model, the second was to the left of the frame and behind the model to light up the background. This was done to create an almost high key image.

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. Exposure and brightness were adjusted and the image was left in color because Black & White would not have done justice.

January 28, 2014….Day 285

Like A Greek Statue

Like A Greek Statue

The model is in a pose reminiscent of a Greek statue. In order to heighten the effect I add a little grain to give the texture of rock.

Two lights was used, one was placed to the right of the frame and to the model’s side. The second light was placed to the left of the frame and slightly in front of the model. This setup was used to give a three dimensional appearance.

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. Exposure and brightness were adjusted locally as well as a moderate amount of retouching. The image was cropped and converted to monochrome via global desaturation.

Arched Back

The long lines of the model and her arched back make a striking pose.

The Eyes Have It

The Eyes Have It

Just look at my model’s eye, they bring this image to life.

This image was taken on Mt. Evans in the bristle cone pine area. The day was overcast and bright, creating beautiful diffused light great for portraits. And having a fantastic model doesn’t hurt.

This was a digital image processed in Lightroom.

I’ve been asked if my images are for sale, most are, please ask.

Standing on One Foot

Standing on One Foot

In this photo the model looks like a hood ornament on an antique car so I made the image an antiquish tone.

Two lights was used, one was placed to the right of the frame and slightly behind the model. The second light was placed to the left of the frame and slightly in front of the model. This setup was used to give a three dimensional appearance.

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. Exposure and brightness were adjusted locally as well as a moderate amount of retouching. The image was cropped and converted to monochrome via a Lightroom preset.

January 22, 2014….Day 279

Sitting

Sitting

This image is more about dark and light vs. the model. The smooth transition of light over the model’s body contrasting with the sharp and abrupt light and shadow in the fabric.

This was a two light setup, the first light was placed to the right of the frame and between the camera and the model, the second was to the left of the frame and behind the model to light up the background. This was done to create a silhouette and shadows and textures in the fabric.

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. Exposure and brightness were adjusted and the image was rendered to monochrome  via a Lightroom preset.
