Digging in

Digging in

My point of this image was to create a question with a little drama.

One light was used, it was placed to the right of the frame and slightly above the model. The light was place this way to give a little drama to the pose.

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. The contrast and exposure were adjusted and the image was rendered to Black & White via a Lightroom preset and then cropped.

I’ve been asked if my images are for sale, most are, please ask.

I’m seeking gallery representation.

Nude Kneeling with Arms Outstretched

Nude Kneeling with Arms Outstretched

I usually prefer a black/dark background that isolates the model more but sometimes the white/light background works.

One light was used, it was placed to the left of the frame and above the model. This gave highlights and crisp shadows emphasizing the model’s contours.

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. The contrast and exposure were adjusted and the image was rendered to monochrome via a Lightroom preset and then cropped.

Torso

Torso

Sometimes a simple pose is the right pose.

Two lights was used, one was placed to the right of the frame and to the model’s side. The second light was placed to the left of the frame and slightly in front of the model. This setup was used to help create strong shadows and highlights.

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. Exposure and brightness were adjusted well as a moderate amount of retouching. The image was cropped and converted to monochromr via a Lightroom preset.

I’ve been asked if my images are for sale, most are, please ask.

Birches on the Shore Before the Storm

Birches on the Shore Before the Storm

The composition of the picture violated the rule of thirds twice, but I like it this way better. I’d like to hear what you have to say about the composition.

This was shot on high speed Black & White film. Developed in Rodinal and printed on Foma Paper. The print was scanned into Lightroom where the contrast and exposure were adjusted and finally the image was cropped.

April 26,2014….Day 369

Compressed Nude

Compressed Nude

The model is kneeling down compressing her body into a small egg shape. Her hair flows like a waterfall and her ribs are like ripples in the sand.

One light was used, it was placed to the left of the frame and above the model. This gave highlights and crisp shadows emphasizing the model’s hair and contours of her back.

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. The contrast and exposure were adjusted and the image was rendered to monochrome via a Lightroom preset and then cropped. I added some grain to the image to give he model a sand like quality.

Desert Canyon

Desert Canyon

It’s really a big helps when the sky co-operates.

This was shot with Ektachrome E100 slide film. It was scanned into Lightroom where I decided to leave it in color (sometimes color works). The contrast  was adjusted and cropped in Lightroom as well.

I’ve been asked if my images are for sale, most are, please ask.

Reclining Nude

Reclining Nude

The model is laying down, the light is skimming over her creating small areas of high and much larger areas of shadow. When you look at this image do think it as a picture of a person, just see the arrangement of contrasting areas.

One light was used, it was placed to the right of the frame and above the mode to create the described above..

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. Exposure and brightness were adjusted well as a moderate amount of retouching. The image was cropped and converted to monochrome via a Lightroom preset.

Sitting Nude

Sitting Nude

This is the same image as yesterday except it was changed from Black & White to an antique appearance. I would like if you would let me know which treatment you like better.

The model is sitting but has her body compressed, it makes a great pose.

April 21, 2014….Day 363

Road Side Waterfall

Road Side Waterfall

This waterfall was about fifty feet from the road, in the Canadian Rockies outside Jasper, Alberta. Sometimes you have to knock yourself to find something to photograph but every once in a while it’s there right in front of you.

This is the forth in a series, of taking images from my  archives and making them look like an old postcard.

This was shot Tri-X Black & White negative film and was processed to a positive image. It was scanned into Lightroom and contrast  was adjusted and it was cropped and the image was giver an antique treatment (in this instant sepia seemed to work best).
