Sitting on a Bench
The balance between the light and shadowed area almost appear metallic. I like the effect here but it doesn’t always work.
One light was used, it was placed to the left of the frame.
This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. The contrast and exposure were adjusted and the image was cropped slightly and rendered to Black & White via a Lightroom preset.

love it – one light is allowing that mystery & the metallic look you are mentioning. I like blackness breaking into things or objects coming out of blackness.
