April 30, 2017…Day 1346

Contemplating

I like catching a mood.

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. The contrast and exposure were adjusted and the image was cropped and rendered to a Black & White via Lightroom’s black & White sliders.

Check out my other blog photographystop.wordpress.com. It is about film photography and film development and it goes into some technical information.

I’ve been asked if my images are for sale, most are, please ask.

Seeking gallery representation.

April 29, 2017…Day 1345

Hands Behind Her Head

I created an elegant pose by using an “S” curve in the model’s stance and created a little drama with the lighting.

One light was used, it was placed to the left of the frame and slightly in front of the model.

The contrast and exposure was adjusted and the image was cropped and rendered to Black & White using Lightroom’s Black & White presets.

Emerging From the Darkness

I’m still exploring what is the minimum amount of information in an image  that is necessary for that image to be recognizable.

One light was used, it was placed to the right of the frame and slightly in front of the model.

The contrast and exposure was adjusted and the image was cropped and rendered to Black & White using Lightroom’s Black & White presets.

I used the lighting setup to show modeling of the model.

Two lights were used, one was placed on either side of the frame about even with the model.

April 23, 2017…Day 1339

Abstract Nude

I wanted to emulate a pin hole photograph. I used a diffusion technique to create a very soft focus then I introduced a lot of grain to make the image look as though it was taken on film.

One light was used, it was placed to the right of the frame and slightly in front of the model.

The contrast and exposure was adjusted and the image was cropped and rendered to Black & White using Lightroom’s Black & White presets.

April 22, 2017…Day 1338

Draped in White

I created a dramatic pose with the high contrast lighting and the exaggerated pose of the model.

One light was used, it was placed to the right of the frame and slightly in front of the model.

The contrast and exposure was adjusted and the image was cropped and rendered to Black & White using Lightroom’s Black & White presets.

Reclining in the Dark

I wanted to show the models organic lines in a relaxed pose.

Two lights were used, one was placed on either side of the frame about even with the model.

This is a digital image processed in Lightroom. The contrast and exposure were adjusted and the image was cropped and rendered to Black & White via a Lightroom preset.
