February 20, 2020…Day 2347

Legs Crossed

I made this image contrasty and grainy with the idea of creating an image that is dramatic and reminiscent of a half century ago.

One light was used, it was placed to the right of the frame and slightly to the side of the model.

The contrast and exposure was adjusted and the image was cropped and rendered to Black & White using Lightroom’s Black & White sliders.

February 15, 2020…Day 2342

Contrasty, Grainy Torso

I wanted to create an abstract that would tell the viewer exactly what it is.

Two lights were used, one was placed on either side of the frame about even with the model.

First the negative was scanned into Lightroom. Next the image’s contrast and exposure was adjusted and the image was cropped using Lightroom’s.

February 1, 2020…Day 2328

Out of Focus NudeThe intent of this photograph was to create an abstract of a nude female by shooting the subject out of focus (in camera). This makes the image a collection of shadows and highlights, and shapes.

One light was used, it was placed to the right of the frame and slightly to the side of the model.

The contrast and exposure was adjusted and the image was cropped and rendered to Black & White using Lightroom’s Black & White sliders.

January 19, 2020…Day 2315

Soft Focus Nude

This image was taken on 120 film giving nice large 6cmX6cm negatives. It was shot with a high speed film and developed normally.

I used a very slow shutter speed to soften the focus. I also shot the subject on an angle to exerate the model’s height.

One light was used, it was placed to the left of the frame and slightly to the side of the model.

The contrast and exposure was adjusted and the image was cropped and rendered to Black & White using Lightroom’s Black & White sliders.
